Kata beach is one of the best loved bays on the island. The huge sweeping bay is a haven for all. Many people frequent the beach daily to meet friends for a relaxing walk or perhaps to visit one of the beach side bars, for a refreshing drink or two!

In past few years Kata centre has grown to fruition following a great development in different smaller areas of the town which has created two main roads which opens up to two small streets.

The streets are ladled with local handicraft, wood carvings, batik, art galleries, local jewelry and ceramics.

Kata is a relatively large area intermingled with small shops, hotels and restaurants of every kind from Italian, Thai, Scandinavian and Internal cuisine, all serving excellent quality of food.
